I finished it!
Alright, so I stayed home again today because I was still having a bad cold. I couldn't stop working on it, I just HAD to finish it today!
I really hated doing the rose. I'm still not happy with it. Eventually I got so extremely angry that I started throwing my eraser to the ground, which bounced back and reached the sealing! And I still can't find my tortillon back either because I threw that one away as well, haha oh well, people can get angry sometimes, right?
Anyway, a friend of mine recently asked me if I had ever torn a drawing... "No-" I said and the next days I just kept thinking about it. I thought it would fit on this drawing well so I tore it! It was real fun actually and it was good for my anger (oh please don't think I'm psycho or whatever! I'm really shy actually...).
So, I hope you like the result. Please tell me what you think of it!!!
This image (photograph source) belongs to: . I had asked her for her permission some days earlier. I still haven't received an answer, so if she doesn't agree, I will delete it as soon as possible.
Anyway, it's all normall pencils (usual gear again...) and it took me about... 7 hours? Don't know actually, ghehe.
Oh well, please comment!!
It looks lovely! I love the torn effect. I once tore up a drawing because it wouldn't scan properly - haha. And I completely understand your anger. You know that picture that I was going to draw of the entire cast of Lost? That is the most frustrating thing to draw. I got a better photograph of it, though, so you never know, I may go back to it... Oh, and the rose looks perfect, stop complaining! Roses are hard to draw, especially if it looks slightly wilted.
Hey, thank you so much for the comment!
Hm, yes drawing can make you so angry sometimes!! Though, I think it's just a part of art. It never goes the way you were thought it would go. Which makes it exciting actually!
I bevieve it was frustrating to draw the entire LOST cast! Wow, but those are many people! I don't think I would have the courage to draw an entire cast. I would love to see the result when you've finished it!!!
Yeah, it can be really frustrating. I often find myself fretting over something TINY like how the hairline looks a little bit thin or something. Obviously I didn't do every single person in Lost, just the main 14 (including Boone) It's going to be so hard, because they're all beind each other, kind of. Ah well, I'll take up the challenge! (expect a journal entry saying I CAN'T DRAW THE LOST PICTURE soon, lol )
ow! my jaw hurts so much from HITTING THE FLOOR!! wow! i love it!! and i do realise how corny that comment was, but it's true!! i love it!! hehe, and don't worry, i tend to throw things as well when i'm frustrated with a drawing!
Yeah, indeed! Those tiny things that no one else sees except yourself! I really do like drawing, as long as it goes the way I want it haha, no that's not true; it's nice to see you're improving everything you draw! That makes it fun to do and it's rewarding.
Haha, I'm sure you'll be fine when you draw the entire cast. It's a challenge, but it will be great when you've finished it!!!
Hey! Dankjewel!!!
